Tyrrell Hatton has vehemently dismissed claims suggesting that his LIV Golf colleague Jon Rahm is regretting his move and pining for a return to the PGA Tour, decrying the speculation as “bull —-“.

Hatton switched up his game following Rahm over 11 months prior, relinquishing his PGA Tour privileges to join the LIV circuit and Legion XIII. The Brit made this significant change shortly after Rahm signed on for what may be the fledgling league’s most substantial catch yet, reportedly worth a massive $600 million.

Optimists in the golfing world had anticipated Rahms headline-making jump to the Saudi-funded league would foster a quicker resolution in negotiations between top-tier LIV and PGA Tour leaders. . Yet, even more than a year since his leap into new territory, no pact has been inked, leaving the parties still hashing things out at the table.

Amidst these stalled talks, rumblings arose last August via a Golf Digest article citing an anonymous pro hinting at Rahm’s remorse over his LIV Golf allegiance. The insider claimed: “I am 100 percent positive that if Jon could give the money back to the Saudis and come back to the tour, he couldn’t write the check fast enough.”

But Hatton, who shares both a team and insights with Rahm, was quick to discredit any validity to these murmurs. Strongly dismissing those claims, Hatton told the Daily Mail: “Forgive me saying this but that is just media bull —-.

“People showed me some of the stuff that was written, but from being around Jon that’s never even been a thought process that crossed my mind. He’s really enjoyed it and he has certainly played some pretty good golf.”

Indeed, Rahm has hit the ground running in the new league, snagging wins in both the UK and Chicago, before being hailed as the individual champion of the 2024 season. Addressing rumors about a possible return to the PGA Tour, Rahm dismissed such speculation to the New York Post.

“There’s zero validity to what any of that said. I don’t know where it came from. I don’t know why they feel the need to say that some of us are unhappy when we’re not.

“It’s one of the things that frustrates me a little bit, the fact that they can claim that there’s a source and there’s zero truth to it.”

The defending champ will tee off his title defence when the 2025 LIV season launches in February at Riyadh. Before that event, however, Rahm is setting his sights on the DP World Tour with plans to compete in the upcoming Dubai Desert Classic with other notable figures like Hatton, Rory McIlroy, and Tommy Fleetwood.
